SHV SINGLE PARENTS If you've ever seen any of the Nanny to the Rescue-type shows on television, you know this: Parenting is a tough job. And parenting solo? Possible, but lots and lots of hard work. At SHV, we have a fantastic network of support for and to Single Parents. Whether you are a Single Parent in need of community and support--or you have a heart to serve with Single Parents, we have a place for you. Our bi-monthly and quarterly activities also provide a great opportunity to meet and make friends who can encourage you along the way. So get connected, resourced, encouraged, and meet many others who could be blessed by you, too! Single Parents gather every 2nd Saturday of the month. If you are interested, contact Roberta Macallister at 303.842.7694. Our 2nd Annual SHV Single Parent Support Day went extremely well! We had 91 volunteers help serve 147 single parents and kids, of which 43 were new to our SHV network! Services included medical check-up, chiropractor, chair massage, manicures, haircuts, oil changes (50 of them!), lunch, prayer, and care for children. Thanks for getting the word out and praying for this event! It was a blessing to many! |
